  • Alva H. Taylor

    Faculty Director
    Associate Professor of Business Administration

    Tuck Bio

    Professor Alva Taylor is Faculty Director of the Glassmeyer/McNamee Center for Digital Strategies. His research focuses on the innovation process, entrepreneurship, technological change, and strategic decision making in fast-changing environments. Some of Prof. Taylor’s recent work has been on the challenge of managing creative groups for sustained innovation and entrepreneurship; and how organizational learning takes place in information rich environments.

    He teaches courses on strategy in fast-changing environments, managing innovation, and managing change in both the Tuck MBA and Executive Education programs. Prof. Taylor has also designed and is program director of the Digital Excellence for Minority Entrepreneurs Executive Education Program in partnership with Google.

    Prior to academia, Prof. Taylor was a senior manager in the consulting division of KPMG, running a practice focusing on business strategy, information technology, and growing companies to scale.  His work and ideas have been published in top business journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation, Academy of Management Journal, and Organization Science. He has his doctorate in business from Stanford University, his MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell, and both his Bachelors and Masters in Engineering from Cornell.

  • Hans Brechbühl

    Executive Director
    Adjunct Professor of Business Administration

    Tuck Bio

    Hans Brechbühl is the Executive Director of the Center for Digital Strategies and an Adjunct Professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Hans leads the center’s outreach and partnership-building efforts, building relationships with Global 1000 corporations in the Americas, Europe and increasingly, Asia. His research interests focus on the digital transformation and organizational change, the role of the CIO / CDO and corporate IT in today’s corporations, and the challenges of information security in a collaborative, networked environment.

    Hans is serving a two-year term as a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Software & Society, serves as a judge for the CIO 100 Awards, and is an affiliated faculty member at the Institute for Security, Technology and Society at Dartmouth College.

    Hans came to Tuck in 2001 from New York City-based Trade.com/BlueStone Capital, where he was senior VP, global partnerships. Prior to that, he was group VP of corporate development for Metromedia International Telecommunications, Inc. where he led both business development and strategy, leading deal negotiations in the telecom, cable and internet space. Prior to Metromedia, Hans was managing director of the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business from 1993-1998, co-directing a $3.5 million independent business education institute focused on business in emerging markets. At Michigan, he built corporate partnerships with many Fortune 500 companies and companies indigenous to the emerging markets of Central & Eastern Europe, Russia and China. In a previous life, Hans served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army for ten years, where he led tactical units on the Iron Curtain in Europe.

    Hans holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, is an alum of the University of Michigan’s Global Leadership Program executive course and a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Monterrey.

  • Ross Dutille

    Center Operations Manager

    Ross is responsible for the delivery of the center’s executive facing programs and maintains the relationships with the corporations that constitute their memberships, as well as manages the center’s website and social media platforms. Prior to joining CDS, he worked for two years in program coordination, at Tuck Executive Education. Ross holds a BSBA from Nichols College.

  • Patrick Wheeler

    Assistant Director

    Patrick comes to the center with eight years of consulting experience gained at Deloitte and the Corporate Executive Board where he supported IT and Finance clients with change management, blended learning, organizational design, ERP selection and also managed dedicated teams providing best practices research and advisory services to HR executives at Fortune 500 clients.

    Prior to his consulting career, Patrick served as Deputy Press Secretary at the U.S. Senate.

    Patrick holds a B.A. in Political Science from St. Michael’s College.

  • Oliver J. Engelhart

    Marketing & Research Intern

    Oliver is a Dartmouth ’18 undergrad, and a marketing intern at the Center for Digital Strategies. He primarily coordinates with the CDS team to manage, publish, and create the center’s content.

    Oliver grew up in Hong Kong and is currently studying Government and Chinese at Dartmouth, while using his time at CDS to learn about the changing functions of technology in business.

  • Aditya Srivastava

    Marketing & Research Intern

    Aditya is a Dartmouth ’20 undergraduate student, and Marketing and Research intern at the Center for Digital Strategies. He primarily focuses on managing the content that is created and endorsed by the CDS.

    Aditya is from Tallahassee, Florida and plans to double major in Computer Science and Mathematics at Dartmouth.
