With all the news surrounding the astoundingly high valuations of tech companies today, Bloomberg Technology gives us an unsettling reminder as to what can happen in the blink of an eye. On this episode of the podcast, Decrypted, they talk about the once promising Fab.com startup and how seemingly minutes after receiving a $1 billion valuation, the company went into survival mode, until eventually selling for $15 million a few years later. The company’s corporate culture and inability to successfully scale show us that even today’s tech companies need to have sound business practices in place or else the company and employees will pay the ultimate price.
