What did you do prior to Tuck?

I worked at the Corporate Strategy and Development team at Cargill, an agriculture and food production company.

What made you want to be part of the CDS fellows program? What is the best part about being involved with the center so far?

I wanted to meet like-minded people who are passionate about technology and digital trends and also leverage the research project to deep dive into a topic I’m personally interested in. The best part so far is to hear and exchange perspectives with the directors, other fellows, and alumni on interesting and trending topics.

What other activities are you involved in at Tuck?

FACT (FoodAg Conference at Tuck), Tech Club, Outdoor Club, Ski Club, Asian Business Club.

What has been the biggest growth moment at Tuck, where you stepped out of your comfort zone? What did you learn from that experience?

Pursuing a targeted, non-traditional recruitment path for an internship last year and for a full-time job now has been pushing me out of my comfort zone. I learned to have conversations with myself to know what I really want and how to set a pace/timeline for myself that is different from the majority of the class.

What CDS learning opportunities or experiences have you learned the most from your time at Tuck so far?

I like the group discussions with the directors and fellows during our regular meetings as well as the digital drop-in sessions with CDS and Tuck alumni.

What class at Tuck pushed your thinking the most?

Early-Stage Venture Capital Workshop by Professor Jim Feuille is the most practical class that I’ve taken at Tuck. We were thrown into real-life pitches and partner meetings where we needed to do a lot of thinking under pressure.

What books are you reading, podcasts are you listening to, or shows are you watching?

I’m currently reading Hacking Growth by Sean Ellis. Bankless, All-in with Chamath, Jason, Sacks & Friedberg, and Sharp Tech with Ben Thompson are my go-to podcasts.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Skiing (winter), Hiking (non-winter), Yoga (anytime), and being a couch potato (occasionally)

What advice do you have for Tuck students interested in tech- and digitally-focused career pathways?

Be open-minded about ideas but stay focused on your goal!
