Once A Fellow – ALWAYS a Fellow
October 13th, 2014
It may have been only 15 minutes, but for the center team, that time spent with two Alumni MBA Fellows last week was priceless.
Brent Dance T’13 and Samer Sayigh T’14 stopped by the center during our staff meeting and in between their responsibilities during their company visit to Tuck. The company you ask? Well, they both work at Google. (Yes, we’re proud of them, very proud.)
Brent and Samer were able to meet Jackie Selby, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and a recent addition to our center team.
MBA fellows at the center carry a lot of responsibilities and explore new experiences with us, including:
- Hosting center-affiliated visiting executives;
- Writing and collaborating on cases;
- Pursuing independent studies;
- Assisting in research projects;
- Proposing, promoting and managing events such as Tech@Tuck;
- Attending key technology events through the center;
- Driving the development of RadioTuck and YouTube content;
- Serving as center liaisons to fellow MBAs and ambassadors to the rest of the greater Tuck and Dartmouth community.
In my five years at the center, I’ve watched fellows relish in and grow through the program. It seems like just yesterday Samer was presenting his research project on the future of digital advertising and Brent was actually interviewing the CFO of Google, Patrick Pichette!
Our network of Alumni MBA Fellows is strong and has grown to over 100 amazing Tuckies. In true Tuck fashion, it matters not if our Alumni Fellow is a T’01 or a T’14, they are always and forever our friend. We can promise if they ever stop by, call or write, the reception will always be warm! (But we can’t promise we won’t pull up old videos!)
