Sara Russo is currently Senior Director, Strategic Programmes at Arm and is leading a number of major business model and operational planning transformation programmes. She joined Arm in 2016 to create an IT Business Partnering practice and spent 3 years working with the CIO and senior leaders across Arm to implement an agile means of facilitating the IT investment process.
Before Arm she worked at British Telecom (BT) for 5 years in a variety of strategy, transformation, commercial and vendor management roles. In 2013 she led a programme for BT Conferencing to deliver and commercially launch exclusive new IP-based audio conferencing service in partnership with Dolby Laboratories.
Before her MBA, Sara worked for 5 years at a global financial services technology company, Omgeo, in Boston. She started out managing large technology transformation projects, including a major data centre relocation; and then went on to establish and run a PMO for the IT organisation. She started her career with 5 years in IT consulting first in Chicago, and later in Boston. She worked in developer, business analyst and project management roles – mainly in the areas of content management and business process transformation.
Sara has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (2011), an MLA in Extension Studies (Educational Technology) from Harvard University (2010), and a BA in Mathematics from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN (1999). She has lived in Cambridge, UK, going on 10 years with her scientist husband and a crazy Jack Russell Terrier named Neon. She spends much of her spare time shouting at rowers as a coxswain (when there isn’t a pandemic), and has seen success at both the Cambridge Town ‘Bumps’ Races (Men’s Head of the River in 2017 and 2018) and Henley Royal Regatta.
