The Center for Digital Strategies and Center for Business, Government, and Society is excited to welcome LinkedIn co-founder and former CTO, Eric Ly, on February 24, 2021, at 5pm. In this fireside chat, Eric will share his thoughts on disinformation and social media, trust, and technology, as well as his own career path through talent solutions.

Eric co-founded LinkedIn in 2002 with Reid Hoffman, Jean-Luc Vaillant, Allen Blue, and Konstantin Guericke. LinkedIn is the world’s largest social networking site for businesses. It was purchased by Microsoft in 2016 for $26.2B.

About Eric Ly: Eric is a seasoned entrepreneur, executive, and investor. In addition to his founding role at LinkedIn, Eric is the founder of Hub, a blockchain protocol bringing greater trust to online interactions. He is also the co-founder and CEO of KarmaCheck, an AI-enabled technology reimagining background checks. KarmaCheck’s technology is a mobile-first background check platform providing fast, real-time checks that make hiring decisions happen faster.

Eric holds a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford and a Masters of Science from MIT.
