Security remains a key challenge to broader adoption of cloud computing. Tackling these risks is critical because the benefits of plug-and-play services such as data storage are compelling for enterprises and consumers. Symantec has long been a big player in the security space with tools like its Norton software. Now, the company is working to secure the cloud. CEO Enrique Salem discussed trends in cloud computing, including the increased use of mobile devices, and how enterprises should rethink their technology needs in face of the challenges posed by cloud, mobility and the consumerization of IT. Enrique highlighted the promises and risks of cloud computing and will lay out what is needed to make the cloud model succeed.
