Hans will speak with CDS affiliated faculty member, Professor Steven Kahl, about the growing FinTech field, specifically focusing on marketplace lending and his role as chairman of the board at Lending Club, as well as other key players in the sector. These new players offer new value propositions and alternatives to customers from traditional banks and lenders.

Hans Morris is managing partner of Nyca Partners, a fintech VC in New York and San Francisco. From 2010 to 2014 he was managing director and advisor at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm. He is the chairman of the board of Lending Club, and a board member of KCG, AvidXchange, Boomtown, Payoneer, and SigFig. From 2007 until 2010 he served as president of Visa Inc. Before joining Visa, he spent 27 years at Citigroup in several operating and management roles, including CFO and head of finance, technology and operations for Citi’s institutional businesses. He was previously COO of the investment bank, and for 12 years was head of the financial services group at Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Morris graduated from Dartmouth College, and serves as chairman of the Board of Overseers of the Hopkins Center for Arts at Dartmouth. He is also chairman of the board of MASS MoCA.
