Name

Adrian Rodriguez

Lynn, Massachussetts

What did you do prior to Tuck?

I was a Senior Partnerships Manager at Criteo.

What made you want to be part of the CDS fellows program? What is the best part about being involved with the center so far?

My career has been exclusively in the AdTech space and although I’ve found the industry fascinating and impactful, I’ve also wanted to expand my understanding of other areas in tech.

Being a CDS fellow has allowed me to do just that. CDS fellows are curiously-minded individuals who bring different and unique perspectives about relevant topics in the wider Tech industry. The best part is our bi-weekly sessions where we get to dive deeper into different topics and questions relevant to the future and the role technology plays in it all.

What other activities are you involved in at Tuck?

Co-Chair of the Hispanic-American Student Association (HASA); Co-char of the Consortium; BSAT member; Ski Club.

What has been the biggest growth moment at Tuck, where you stepped out of your comfort zone? What did you learn from that experience?

My biggest growth has been learning how to manage my time and energy in order to maximize everything this place has to offer.

Summer and Fall terms were very busy and overwhelming phases of my time at Tuck but they have also forced me to learn how to manage my priorities in ways that will stay with with me forever. Learning how to say ‘no’ is an extremely underrated skill.

Learning how to ski was also a growth moment!

What CDS learning opportunities or experiences have you learned the most from your time at Tuck so far?

My fellowship research allows me to speak with executives and business leaders about the future of work in regards to hybrid and remote work. The knowledge and perspective I have gained has been not only invaluable for my project but also for my career and aspirations as a future business leader.

What class at Tuck pushed your thinking the most?

Real Estate by Professor Melzer and Managerial Accounting by Professor Gerakos. Both classes forced me to continue to work on my quantitative, analytical and decision-making skills.

What books are you reading, podcasts are you listening to, or shows are you watching?

Podcasts: The Ezra Klein Show, Freakonomics, Hard Fork (tech specific NY Times podcast).
Books: The Art of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli
Shows: The Last of Us (HBO)

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love dancing, especially anything latin like salsa.

What advice do you have for Tuck students interested in tech- and digitally-focused career pathways?

Be curious and flexible. The tech industry is rapidly changing so it’s important to stay on top of new trends and the business impact they could have.
