screen-shot-2016-10-27-at-3-09-42-pmJoin Tyler Dewing T’06, a Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom Group at Harris Williams & Co., to learn about how to understand, evaluate, and analyze software companies.  The session is relevant for aspiring investment bankers, private equity or venture capital investors, consultants, or entrepreneurs, interested in working with software companies.  Tyler will walk through different software revenue and delivery models, as well as several operating and financial metrics that can be used to evaluate the value and growth prospects of software companies.

Mr. Dewing is a Director in the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecom Group and focuses on advising growing software and technology-enabled services businesses on M&A, recapitalization, and growth capital transactions.  He has well over a decade of investment banking experience and has spent most of it advising technology businesses across sectors including application software, enterprise software, data and informatics, and infrastructure software, in verticals including energy, healthcare, finance, communications, and others.

Mr. Dewing joined the firm in 2006 following business school.  Prior to business school, Mr. Dewing worked in middle market M&A for Houlihan Lokey in San Francisco, and BDO Capital in Boston.  Mr. Dewing began his career in the technology banking group of BankBoston in Palo Alto, after multiple internships at the data storage company EMC Corporation in the late 1990s.

Mr. Dewing holds an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.A. in Economics from Colby College.
