About Rama Oruganti T’09

Rama Oruganti is General Manager at HP, Inc., where he has P&L responsibility for the 3D scanning business and oversees product management, sales, strategy and current business for the company. Prior to this role, he worked in HP’s Immersive Computing business unit, where he helped to pioneer the company’s 3D computing and IoT platform, including the successful launch of the world’s first immersive 3D computer – Sprout.

He also held various strategy, innovation, and business development roles at MagellanGPS and John Deere, the latter of which took him to South Africa where he helped run the company’s business in sub-Saharan Africa.

He started his career as a software engineer for Intel Corporation in support of the company’s core chip businesses. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, a Master’s of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business, where he was an MBA Fellow with the Center for Digital Strategies.
